Community Mailbox Vandalism - UPDATE

Dear Provincia Villas Residents,

The Provincia Villas BOD is aware of the recent vandalism to our mailboxes and we're actively working to remedy the situation. 

• The first mailbox cluster affected (6635-6717 Biscay Bay) has been replaced and will be ready for use very shortly. The keys will be sent to the USPS on DeZavala and you will be required to pick up your respective keys for use. A separate email will be sent to you letting you know when the keys will be available.
• We are now working with our vendor to address the second cluster most recently affected (addresses 6719 to 6741 Biscay Bay). We expect to purchase a new unit and have it prepped for use very soon. As mentioned above, these residents will be sent a separate email notifying them when it is available for use.

Please note that until these units are available for use, residents must go to the DeZavala Post Office on 5837 DeZavala to pick up their mail. 

We think it's important to note that the BOD is also very concerned about this recent rash of mailbox vandalism. As a means of taking proactive action to prevent this from occurring again, we have reached out to our gate vendor and requested a full evaluation of its functionality. With this, we are committed to replace any components that appear faulty so that we can ensure the gates remain fully functional. In addition, we have considered implementing some additional measures to ensure our residents remain safe and this sort of vandalism does not become commonplace. 

We encourage all of you to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity that you may identify. It is important that we all work together to keep our community safe and secure.
